Stan Ruesch: Superintendent race critical

The current State Superintendent of Public Instruction is Tony Evers. He is a man of broad educational experience and achievement in Wisconsin from teacher, to principal, to district superintendent, to D.P.I. administrator. He was first elected in 2009 and re-elected in 2013. In 2011 when Act 10 threw Wisconsin’s public schools into chaos by massively reducing state aid and making replacing the missing state monies through referenda difficult, Mr. Evers was steadfast in resisting these partisan assaults against our public schools. Mr. Evers won re-election and when the public supported referendum after referendum to save their local public schools, it was clear who the public supported. The assaults on Wisconsin public schools continue.
